last night at the office work party
talking with this guy with whom i’ve had some good conversations with at previous after work drinks. him: so you have a boyfriend that lives back home in new zealand? me: er no. what?  him: oh, just i asked liz and she said something about a boyfriend back those ways? me: um. i’m seeing this guy that was in australia over christmas. for a holiday. he’s english. he lives here....

attempting to go to bed before midnight
take one: remember i wear make up these days. get up and remove eyeliner. take two: remember a button fell off my winter coat this morning. get up, find needle and thread and sew button back on. take three: wonder why birds are chirping at this time of night. reach for phone, google it. take four: too early, can’t sleep. turn on light and start reading book.

last night i had the pleasure of being invited to a screening of david byrne’s latest tour film ‘ride, rise, roar’ and live question and answer session with the man himself after. brilliant film, fantastic insight, quality company, lovely evening.

people who know me won't believe this
• i’ve worn my hair curly for weeks now • i’ve eaten breakfast 3 days in a row • i wear lipstick • i wear make up everyday • i hadn’t had a drop of alcohol for 11 days straight it’s like there’s an alien in my body right now. 2011 has changed me.
